Maharashtra National University, Nagpur, widely known as NLU, Nagpur was established in 2014 by the Government of Maharashtra. It is one of the most-popular NLUs in the country which is also the 19th NLU set up in India. The university is located in the city of Nagpur, Maharashtra. Professor Dr. Vijender Kumar, who was the VC of NLU and Judicial Academy, Assam and the Registrar of NALSAR, University of Law, Hyderabad was invited to join NLU, Nagpur to become its first VC. The University aims at making progress towards the dream of achieving excellence in the field of legal education with its dedicated staff, students and faculty members under the guidance of the founding members and different statutory bodies of the university.
